Bandits Hit Vinton Bank Steal $45,000 in Broad Daylight
Five youths robbed the Farmer's National Bank at Vinton Iowa. Authorities say more than $25,000 in currency and $20,000 in government bonds were taken. Vigilantes and police from several counties joined a wide manhunt with roadblocks and road checks. The bandits, last seen headed toward the Minneapolis-St Paul area, were identified as having visited a Hazelton garage for a road map.
