Riverside defeated Burlington 10 to 6 yesterday at Riverside in front of about five hundred spectators. Thompson started for Burlington and dominated most of the game until Alberson relieved in the sixth. Riverside went scoreless afterward. Burlington’s lineup included several weak performers while Riverside showcased a strong amateur battery Hardy and Kenneman. The crowd and local businessmen filled the stands during the afternoon contest.
Last evening Tom Flynn of north of Ainsworth was heavily intoxicated and refused to go home. Officers restrained him in the square alley and placed him in the cooler after strong resistance. He cooled down in jail and was sent home with a hope for better conduct.
