Stamps on the new NIRA issue will go on sale tomorrow August 17 at Nira Iowa and nowhere else in the country. One hundred three cent stamps were sold yesterday in Washington DC to Gen. Hugh Johnson. They were dispensed by Postmaster General Farley. Stamps will appear next Thursday at Nira before general distribution. Four hundred millions of stamps will be printed depicting a farmer a laborer a business man and a woman.

Concert Band Busy Week With City Schedule
The Washington Concert band plays Riverside last night and tonight at home, then Ainsworth tomorrow. Regular practice is Friday at city hall. An exchange with Oskaloosa is planned for Wednesday August 23 with a concert there and a return engagement next Tuesday August 22. Additional summer concerts are planned weekly at Ainsworth. The Riverside concert drew a good crowd in the bandstand.
