Tama Supervisor Dies From Injuries After Collision

Angel-ip N. Carnal 67 longtime chairman of Tama county board dies from injuries sustained in an automobile collision on Wednesday. The Tama county official had been active in local farming and community service. A group from Washington including Richard Pfeffer Merle Telford Harold Timmins and Donald Penningroth will exhibit calves at the Davenport fair next week. The group plans to depart this evening from Wellman and Wellman Fortville area towns.

Troop F 113th Cavalry to Camp Dodge for Two Weeks

Troop F of the 113th Cavalry starts a two week camp life at Camp Dodge. The unit of 63 enlisted men and 3 officers entrains Sunday at 12 30 PM with Captain Oral J Brown leading. Black man avoids football in Chicago incident

In Chicago on August 15 a Black man named Japheth, who never played football, said he did not like the game. He was found attempting to burglarize Mrs. Gordon's boarding house where 18 college players were summer residents. The players held him in a mock scrimmage until police intervened, and Japheth was jailed.

Identified Maurice Bank Robber Tex Olson Nabbed in Iowa

Clarence Demers alias Tex Olson of Emerson Nebraska is identified as one of two bandits who robbed the Sioux County Savings Bank at Maurice Iowa on July 27. He was arrested in Sioux City after being named by four bank witnesses, and taken to Orange City Iowa. The raid yielded 900 dollars in cash and 1800 in railway express company checks.
