Ron and Nichols, north side grocers, will move September 1 into the room now occupied by J C Mc Cartney and Son on the south west corner of the square. To save moving costs they offer a big reduction in groceries of all kinds until the move and invite customers to call and save money.
Epworth League youths and friends from M. BE church spent a day at Coppock with baskets and music by the Troubadors. The crowd included children and gray heads, and the event featured races, fortune telling, and homegrown provisions. A wagon incident, and a wife’s rescue of her bootlegging husband from jail, completed the day’s events.

A major blaze at ten o'clock Tuesday night gutted the New Sharon electric light plant and roller mill plus stored flour in Watland & Freelight. Loss estimated at $10,000 with no insurance. Firefighters saved the engine and boiler partially. several local residents named as losers.
