Five Escape Accident With Minor Injuries
Five youths were hospitalized after a one car crash south of Washington around 11 p.m. on Thursday. Driver Duane William Chalupa of Kalona and passengers Kathy Simmering 17 Judith Ann Walker 16 Raleigh Dunbar and Janet Hagie all from Washington were treated for injuries. Jim Maxwell 17 of Kalona was not admitted. The car left the highway near the Country Club entrance, rolled into a ditch but did not overturn. Sheriff's deputies investigated.
