Richard Albert Raymond Wombacher 3 died at home in Washington after a heart attack. Funeral at St Joseph's in Parnell with burial in St Joseph's cemetery. Survived by wife Wilma. son John George. daughter Michele Irene. parents Giles and Irene Wombacher. two sisters H W Rollo and Mrs John Kohl. grandmothers. He served in the U S Army 34th division and was a prisoner who escaped before returning to service. He had worked for Montgomery and Iowa City stores and belonged to Knights of Columbus and St James Catholic Church.
