In Long Beach California on August 11 Alice an Indian python twenty two feet long escaped from her cage at Pike animal park with her companion Archibald also twenty two feet long. After about twenty four hours both reptiles returned to their home as hunger drew them back. Alice hid under a platform for a day resisting keepers attempts to coax her. Archibald was caught shortly after escaping.
