Panama dispatch reports the American tanker Swiftstar bound from San Pedro to Fall River with 30 aboard may be lost at sea. Drifting wreckage bearing the vessel’s name was seen near St Andreas Island 250 miles north of Colon, with damaged lifeboats spotted July 22 and a body found in an icebox marked Swiftstar. The water in the area was oil stained.
