Tomorrow afternoon at 2 30 the Hamlet's All Stars present a children and ladies matinee. Admission 5 cents for children and 10 cents for adults. Ladies urged to attend with the children.

Weather and sports week in Des Moines and Burlington debut

The Des Moines forecast notes favorable growing conditions for crops with adequate moisture and variable corn maturity dates. Wheat oats and barley yields look fair to good as threshing continues. Court actions include J F Henderson vs W W Mason with trial set for next Monday and a $55 attorney fee. A Hall’s Catarrh Cure advertisement offers a $100 reward for an incurable catarrh case. INUCTION CASE DEATH OF MRS MARTIN IN EAST WASHINGTON

Mrs. Martin aged about seventy four died at the home of her daughter Mrs. J A Crawford on East Jefferson street after a week of illness. Born in Wayne county Ohio she married Robert Martin in 1816 and had twelve children six survive. She joined the Associate Presbyterian church in youth and died a devout Christian. Funeral is set for two o clock Wednesday. The injunction case against Valleyrand saloon in Sigourney is decided to close immediately in a Keokuk county victory.

Families Leave Spring Park for Minneapolis Visit

The Wilson, Robinson and Strouse families left Spring Park on Lake Minnetonka and spend the day in Minneapolis before returning home tonight. They hosted a banquet for Mr and Mrs J A Young at the Hotel where they stayed. The fish were caught by party members and baked whole with pasturtium and crematus decorations. Dog attack mars trousers in park incident

Last evening about 6 50 p m Am brose Hout Jr was passing the north side of the square when a dog belonging to C G Raguet caught his leg and tore large strips from his trousers in a struggle. The band Hamiler's All Stars performed in the park at noon and drew attendees from many directions.
