Train wreck near Imboden kills three injures four
Three people died and four were hurt when a eastbound Frisco passenger train derailed twelve miles east of Imboden Arkansas. The engine plunged over a twelve foot embankment pulling the mail baggage and smoking cars. The mail car burned after the gas tank exploded. Sailors extinguished the blaze in the baggage car. The dead were Engineer Cooper and Fireman Lee Booker both of Memphis and a man believed to be H F Overy. Mail clerks Cham berlain Hornbecker Wolf and Clayton were severely bruised.

Central Illinois Traction to be released from receivership
Mattoon Illinois Aug The Central Illinois Traction company will be taken from the hands of the receiver within the next few days. Stockholders must pay 85000 to cover outstanding indebtedness. Receivers certificates for 41000 held in Chicago cover damage claims. Unpaid are a 5000 judgment to Colonial Trust and court costs. After payment the stockholders seek dissolution of the receivership. The line has been under court jurisdiction since the wreck of Aug 50 last year in which eighteen people died.
