Pittsburg August 8 The Amalgamated Association closed the Newcastle steel plant while Clark mill in Pittsburgh partially resumed. United States Steel will start closed sheet mills in the Kiskiminetas valley to train strikebreakers and spread to other works. Leaders disagree with Shaffer and Schwab over next steps. plan to move cautiously to restart mills and attract returning workers.
