Haney born February 24, 1872 in Keosauqua Illinois to Aaron and Melissa Haney. married Anna Beer July 21, 1904. He worked as a mail carrier in Keosauqua and as a carpenter for Rock Island after moving in 1909 until 1967 when he retired. Survived by wife five children Lena Barnett Newton Carrie Gray northeast of Washington Francis Haney Los Angeles Harry Haney Cedar Rapids Neda Maher Carroll and eleven grandchildren. One daughter Edythe Brown is deceased.
