Seek to silence comments on boy
Attorneys for Dwight Bannister and his wife seek to bar Ames attorney Donald Pager from commenting on custody of eight year old Mark Painter. A Nevada district court hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. August 16. The Bannisters, represented by an Eldora firm, object to remarks in a Des Moines newspaper about a court order allowing visitation by Mark's father, Harold W. Painter of California, from August 18 to 26. Under a court agreement, Painter may not remove the boy from Iowa during visitation, and the case is being appealed to the U S Supreme Court.
