Edmondson tops Chicago cattle market with Herefords
M M Edmondson of Ainsworth tops the Chicago market in July with a two load shipment of Hereford steers at 10.60 per cwt. The 24 head averaged 1328 pounds, yielding a solid profit since the cattle were bought in Kansas City at 6.50 in March. Several other Hereford offerings also sold at 10.60, though few shipments reached that top.
