Repeated promises of health benefits and affordable doses accompany each product.
Miss Muriel Rose leaves for Chicago where her sister will soon graduate from a commercial college. Both Miss Roses have accepted positions. Also noted are laundry ads, a visit by J W Nichols, and local notices including a Salvation Army meeting and a sheriff candidate declaration by Curver T. Smmrn of Kalona Iowa.
The Great Rock Island line advertises unusually low fares and favorable terms for travel to Indianapolis for August and September meetings. It promises comfort and quicker trips than competitors and directs readers to agent F. BE. Stewart for details.

About a hundred spectators watched Washington’s Aug game at the Fair Grounds. Old stars Hott and Bell led the home team with strong hitting and fielding. Brighton rivaled them, Wort tired after four innings and Nicola took over. Sharp fielding by Bell, Dewey, and Meyers, plus timely hitting by Hott and Graham, kept the close contest lively as rumors hint at a rematch in Brighton.

Landlord John Good stood between the office and dining room when the flash struck, leaving him stunned with a burning sensation and a constricted limb. The shock was felt by many, yet no physical source was found.
DARY BURNED. John Ihrig, a resident of Lime Creek, sustains loss as a storm causes damage to property and land in the area. Authorities note the event and assess impact on the homeowner.

The annual convention of the tenth district W C C T U will meet at the Presbyterian church in Washington on Thursday and Friday August 12 and 13. Mrs Marion Dunham of Burlington, state union president, will speak on The Dollar Side of the Question Thursday evening. All meetings are open to the public with focus on Mothers' Meeting Thursday afternoon, Dunham's lecture Thursday evening, and Miss Brown's Loyal Temperance Legion talk Friday afternoon.
