Webster City wedding links two families in late summer ceremony
Patricia Ann OConnor daughter of Mr and Mrs Melvin O Connor Webster City and Meredith H Mills son of the late Mr and Mrs Albert Mills of Washington were married Sunday August 2 at 2 30 PM in the Methodist Church Webster City Rev Paul Heath performed the double ring vows. The bride wore a bouquet taffeta gown with re embroidered Alencon lace and seed pearls. Attendants wore aqua chiffon over taffeta with veils and teardrop pearls. Best man Phil Mills and groomsmen Kay Stecher and Duane OConnor. A reception followed in the church parlors. After a northeastern Iowa trip the couple will live in Waterloo Iowa.

Des Moines Bandit Suspect Held After Holdup Shootout
A 37 year old armed gunman Curt Wilson 1222 78th St Des Moines held after being shot by police during a holdup at Waveland Super Valu 4808 University Ave. He allegedly forced a taxi driver Louis Blake 1615 Arlington Ave Des Moines to drive him to the store. Police recovered $1911 from a torn blue airline bag after the suspect fled on foot and exchanged gunfire with officers.
