Mrs. Sarah Morasch was given life imprisonment by the district court of Wyandotte county Kansas for the murder of four year old Ruth Miller, a niece by marriage. She sent poisoned candy through the mail to Ella Van Meter fourteen, Ruth’s half sister, in a motive of resentment over her being laughed at by the girl.
Oyster Bay Aug 4 The fate of eight West Point cadets found guilty of hazing remains undecided. President Roosevelt issued a statement through acting private secretary Rudolph Foster, saying no final decision has been made and that war department recommendations are still pending.
