Clevenger's Victim Dies in Jealous Shooting

Bayard Tilford died from a gunshot wound inflicted by Louis Clevenger who is jailed in Decatur Illinois. The motive was jealousy over Tilford’s attention to Mrs Josie Watson. Tilford had named Clevenger to the State's Attorney Mills. the woman corroborates. The incident sparked local excitement.
