Dag Warns Congo Against Attempt To Hasten Troops Leave
UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold warned Congo leaders against pressuring a rapid Belgian troop withdrawal by exploiting East West tensions. He spoke before President Kasa Vubu and officials as 1,500 of about 10,000 Belgian paratroopers began leaving for Brussels. Fairfield Holdup Man Wounded After Shootout
Ex convict William Moyer Jr held up White-T supermarket in Fairfield and fled with about 1000 dollars. He was shot six times in the stomach during a gunbattle with highway patrol and city officers. Miss Anna Baldwin of Peoria, Ill is detained for questioning. Moyer and Baldwin were near Ottumwa hospital, where Moyer is listed in critical condition. The stolen money was recovered from Moyers car trunk.

Son's Body Delivered Without Any Warning
In Waushau Wisconsin a couple found their son Frank Becker dead only after a corrugated metal casket arrived at their home. The 24 year old Albuquerque University student had been in Mexico City where his body was shipped with a Mexican death certificate that gave no cause of death. The Beckers contacted authorities and the U S embassy but could not learn what happened. Embassy officials said such delivery without prior notice would be unusual. Becker had traveled from Albuquerque to near Mexico City last month after term ended, with no explanation from his parents.
