Law Day planned for county high school seniors
The Washington County Bar Association will present a county wide Law Day at the courthouse for high school seniors in two half day sessions on Thursday May 1. Morning session at 9 for Mid Prairie and Highland seniors. afternoon at 1 15 for Washington seniors. Mock trials include criminal traffic prosecution and a civil damages action. Participants include student plaintiffs defendants witnesses and jurors under guidance of Peter Buffer Law Day chairman. County Attorney Richard Bordwell and former County Attorney Tracy Anderson will lead as prosecution and defense in the criminal action. Craig Arbuckle and Douglas Tindal will represent plaintiff and defense respectively in the civil action. Brad Kiesey will narrate and explain trial procedures with a final 30 minute Q A period involving county bar members.
