Viet Cong arsenal seized in Mekong Delta sweep
Government troops captured a large Viet Cong arsenal in the Mekong Delta, recovering about 1 000 rifles and machine guns. U S Navy planes attacked near Hanoi and an ammunition depot 75 miles south, destroying buildings and spreading flames. Coast Guard units and 200 personnel were sent to South Vietnam to aid in stopping seaborne infiltration. In Phu Hiep an outpost was attacked, 16 soldiers killed, 14 wounded, and guerrillas withdrew after reinforcements arrived. A Viet Cong mining attack derailed two rail cars near Long Khanh while the rest of the train continued.

She belonged to Clay Congregational Church.
