Girl's Low Wages Lead to Hat Theft Charge

Postmaster Aids Biological Bird Migration Survey
The Washington postmaster has been named as an agent for the U S biological survey to help study migration of 768 North American bird species. He will inform residents about the bird banding program and how to handle bands found on birds in and around the city this year. The survey and its 2,000 amateur agents have banded about 250 000 birds annually to track movements, asking residents to report bands and forward data to Washington.
