News of the death of N. P. Gardner last night came as a shock to everyone. He had been ill, contracted a severe cold after visiting a farm Friday, and died at eight oclock. Born in Franklin county Ohio in 1834, he married Rose A. Byers in 1860 and leaves a widow, daughter, and three brothers. Funeral from the family residence Saturday at 10:30 with Presbyterian and other clergy officiating. interment Elm Grove cemetery. The JOURNAL extends sympathy to the family. ALULINE REUNION. Alumni of the Academy plan a large reunion during commencement week with a June 11 date, a committee led by M. W. Bailey, and an expected 150 of 235 alumni to attend, including a history writeup by John Springer and a banquet.

Crawford youth pleads guilty to drunkenness in court

Fire alarm nearly triggered at A Hott residence
