Anamosa Honors Veteran Printer Oscar Wolf 68
Oscar Wolf 68 a longtime Washington printer died in Anamosa Iowa after a period of ill health. Funeral services will be held at St James Catholic church in Washington with burial here. Surviving are his wife Mary and children Raymond Marie and Joe plus brother Albert and sisters in Illinois and Washington. He worked for the Journal in Washington and for the Anamosa Journal and was a member of St James Church and the Knights of Columbus.

George E. McKay Jr. 26 and Larry Williams 18 were killed when their light plane crashed and burned near Gibson, Keokuk County, Iowa. Sheriff E E Tremmel said McKay, a flying farmer, had taken Williams for a ride at about five feet altitude. the craft plunged to earth about 80 rods from McKay's home. Both victims died in the fire.
