About 125 farmers attended a ditch blasting demonstration on the Magnus Admiring farm, 11 miles southwest of Washington. Des Moines and Du Pont representatives showed use of dynamite for ditching and draining bottom land, blasting a 400 foot ditch with 260 miles of dynamiting in Iowa noted by the demonstrators.
