Ainsworth United Presbyterian Church Marks Seventieth Year
Ainsworth United Presbyterian Church observes its 70th anniversary with programs at 2 00 pm and 6 15 and 8 00 pm. Charter member William H Livingston tradition and a reminiscence of the church history by George B Wallace are noted. The congregation, organized April 25 1864 by Rev Alex Story, began in a village schoolhouse and drew 42 charter members from Crawfordsville Washington and Columbus City U P congregations.

An Associated Press dispatch from Indiana reports four prisoners escaped a prison today, three serving life terms. A judge’s sentence allegedly promises a long, comfortable stay and requires the warden be informed for supper counts.
