Funeral of Mrs Green at Keota
Funeral services for Mrs Everett Green of Lexington will be held at 2 30 Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Keota. She died Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital Iowa City after an operation. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery Washington with Rev Carl W Klein officiating. She was born November 16 1844 in Seventy Six township a daughter of Henry and Mary Henderson. She leaves her husband Everett Green and daughter Helen plus sisters and brothers named in the notice.

Thomas Schilling a 77 year old resident of Washington was struck by a car at West Washington street and South Marion avenue yesterday afternoon. He suffered a scalp wound and bruises though doctors expect his condition to improve since the accident. The driver Mrs J Jones recently moved to Buffalo Iowa from Sabetha Kansas said she was traveling slowly and Schilling stopped at the curb and was hit as he stepped into the street. He was taken to the county hospital for treatment and physicians reported encouraging signs from his bed today.

Burlington Methodist Church Celebrates 100th Anniversary
About twenty five local men attended a 100th anniversary celebration for the Burlington Methodist Church in Burlington yesterday afternoon. Ian Brommitt of Northwestern Christian Advocate gave the principal address. Bishop Frederick Leete of Omaha also spoke. A large men’s choir led the singing. nearly every Methodist church within 75 miles was represented. An Onion church replica played a part in Iowa territorial history. the first Iowa Territory legislature met there. An Epworth League clinic is planned at First Church Burlington on Sunday, April 2.

Dust Storm Blots Sun Across Iowa Farms
A large dust storm swept across Iowa from Des Moines to Mason City, reducing visibility and lifting soil from fields. Winds up to 30 miles an hour blew fine soil from Nebraska and South Dakota onto cropland, damaging oats, grass, and winter wheat and requiring replanting in parts. Boeing pilots reported dust clouds to 6000 feet from Iowa City to Cheyenne.

Service Held at Tabernacle Site Dedication Afternoon
