Des Moines April 20 The Iowa senate adopted a conference committee report on the omnibus bill bringing adjournment closer. House approval is needed to pass the bill which covers incidental expenses with no other appropriation. The senate also passed the state millage bill setting a $7.98 million levy, about two million less than prior.

Mrs. Walter Smith of six miles north of town suffered a fracture of her right thigh and a fracture of both bones in her left forearm when struck by a car on primary road No. 1 near Washington. Pipe Line Worker Injured in Cave-in

Former Wyman resident dies in Ottumwa
William F. Orbin, a longtime Wyman resident who ran a local store, died yesterday at his son Chyde Orbin’s Ottumwa home after a lingering illness. He was over seventy and leaves a son and two grandchildren, Helen and Mills. Funeral services are Tuesday at 2:30 PM at the Covenanter Church in Wyman, with burial in Beauchamp Cemetery southwest of Wyman.
