Charles A. Johnson aged 53 died last evening at his West Third Street home after a three year illness. Born February 1 1874 in Milan Alabama he moved with his family to a farm near West Chester twenty five years ago. He worked on farms and later in a cement business and at the American Pearl Button factory. Surviving are two sisters Mrs Anna Morton Alexis Illinois and Mrs Clarence Dodd this city. Funeral Saturday at 2 40 PM at the Methodist church with Rev W W Bower and Odd Fellows in charge of the grave service. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and longtime citizen.
