The newly built St. James Church was blessed and dedicated by Bishop Ralph L. Hayes with a Solemn High Mass. Local and visiting clergy attended a 250-person dinner in the school hall after the service. Mayor Cloud Willits and Father Lew spoke, praising the parish and noting over 600,000 dollars spent on church and school construction.

Paper Lilies Sold Saturday for Easter Seal Drive
VFW Junior Auxiliary members will sell miniature paper lilies in Washington on Saturday to raise funds for the Easter Seal Campaign. County chairman Chuck Gibson announced the project to support Camp Sunnyside for crippled children and programs to aid handicapped adults and other Easter Seal services.

Cedar Falls officer admits burglaries under camera trap
