Police close motorway to chase 3000 chickens

Ottumwa House Fire Claims Life of Estel Kimmel
Estel Kimmel, 58, died in a house fire in Ottumwa as smoke and burns claimed him. The one story wooden frame residence on the south side was found burned around the living room area after the fire was reported early today. Assistant Fire Chief Albert Ruble said Kimmel lived alone and the home had been remodeled recently with damage estimated over $12,000.
