Washington YMCA plans May 11 annual meeting guest speakers
The Washington YMCA annual meeting is set for Tuesday May 11 at 6 20 p m in the Y Community Room. Dr George Lamore from Iowa Wesleyan College will speak and Peter Bowers of YMCA Mid-America will attend as guest. A 50 year member recognition will honor six men including David Elder and George J Breitenbach. Tickets are available at the YMCA. AFS exchange student German Enrique Velez 17 will join Washington High School for 1976 77 living with the Keith Horn family and pursuing aeronautics with interests in college.

Planned Parenthood Antique Show Raises About $1000
The Planned Parenthood of Washington County sponsored antique show and sale was deemed a success for a second time, netting approximately $1000 for county and area groups. Burglary Suspect Exits Box In Odd Police Sting
In Chicago on the West Side, patrolmen Harper and Cummings spent about 30 minutes barking and meowing to coax what they thought was a trapped dog from a large cardboard box. A 13-year-old burglary suspect emerged instead, with a crow bar, hammer, flashlight and gloves, and was turned over to juvenile authorities. Burglary charges pending.
