Mrs. Mary Row Buser of Riverside suffered serious burns when her clothing caught fire from a burner while preparing supper on a gas range after returning from Iowa City. She escaped to a neighbor for help as the flames scorched the upper right side of her body and left arm. She is cared for at home by Mrs. Mary Lukas sky.

Two Youths Charged in Tractor Theft Here
Two youths were arrested Sunday by the sheriff's office on charges of stealing a tractor and mounted plow from a vacant lot near the post office. The tractor and plow belonged to Smart's Tipplement firm. John Kelley, 25, and a 15-year old accomplice were held for the theft after the younger boy attempted to use the stolen plow and tractor for garden work.

James S. Marshall Dies At Junction on Sunday
James S. Marshall age 85 resident of the Carroll community south of Columbus City died Sunday at Restopia Nursing Home. Funeral services set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carroll Evangelical United Brothers Church with brief services at 1:30 p.m. in the Weaver Briggs home at Winfield. He was born near Carroll in July 1866 and married Catherine Collins in 1891. Survivors include two daughters, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a sister.
