City Council Holds First Regular Meeting of Year

Mrs Neven Remains in Doubtful Condition After Burns
Mrs. Neven, badly burned yesterday, remains in about the same condition today. The attending physician says her recovery is doubtful. She is a sister of Mr. Shanafelt and has six children.

Uncle John Werehan Stricken By Stroke In City
Uncle John Werehan, eighty four, a long time local character who has boarded at the Kenty house for eight years, suffered a stroke yesterday. He fell while walking, cut his hose, and was carried to C J Wilson's office then moved to the Benz house. His left side is paralyzed and his condition was described as critical, though he is reported to be much better now. He has no close relatives locally, with one son in Washington and two in Minnesota.
