The Ministerial Association sponsors a Good Friday service at United Presbyterian Church from 1 30 to 3 00 pm on Friday April 8 with speakers presenting the Seven Last Words of Jesus. Liturgist is Dr Wm H Kettlitz. Special music by the U P adult bell choir and senior mens choir. A solo will be sung by Matt Hotle with Robert Youngquist on piano.

Easter Egg Hunt Set by Washington Jaycees at Sunset Park
The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Washington Jaycees will be held Saturday April 9 at 9 a.m. in Sunset Park. The event is open to all children through fifth grade and each child should bring a basket or bag to collect the eggs.

Boat registration reminder for current year deadline
All boat owners who have not registered their boats for the current year are reminded this must be done before April 30. Fee is $8.50 for motor and sail boats and $4.50 for all other craft. Canoes and kayaks less than 13 feet in length need not be registered. Registration of boats may be made at the office of the county recorder in the owner's home county. Penalty for late registration is one dollar for each six months.

Susan Eileen Gore 22 of Wellman treated at Washington County Hospital for head cuts after a collision at the intersection of two county gravel roads northwest of Washington at 10 50 a m today. Gore charged with failure to yield after a stop. Debris and a semi truck blocked a bridge near Lake Darling State Park entrance west of Brighton after a sideswipe with a pickup.

Judge rules in Fagen hearing

Nuclear theft danger warned by OTA report
A 500 page Congressional Office of Technology Assessment report to President Carter warned a bomb could be built within days after seizure of a nuclear reactor fuel installation, but prompt action could curb the threat. It noted no single solution and highlighted reactor fuel enrichment, reprocessing plants and fast breeder reactors as major proliferation risks.
