Miss Cora Porter resumes teaching in public schools after a several months vacation. Her health is much improved and students are delighted to have her back in the classroom.
Regular city council session with Mayor Ross presiding discusses sidewalk petitions in South East Washington, sewerage plans, and a new city map. Alderman changes, license for city scavenger, and notices of health cases follow adjournment.
Arthur and EF Mason of this city Martin and Arch Stewart and Israel Cameron of Ainsworth attend the golden wedding of Uncle Daniel Mason in Ottawa Illinois on Sunday. About 180 guests present. The Mason line shows 103 children born to Daniel Mason senior with 76 living. Several descendants noted in family history.
The Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Muscatine District opens a convention at the M K church with devotional exercises led by Mrs. A Wiley. District President Mrs J Bruce Young announces opening, with delegates arriving from Kalona Muscatine West Liberty Wellman Wilton Mt. Pleasant West Chester Bloomfield and others.
