Veteran skydiver injured during New London demonstration
Farmington man Jay Mercer, 26, remained in stable condition at Burlington Medical Center after a skydiving accident at the New London High School football field. His parachute spilled air about 35 feet above ground during a demonstration with US Army recruiter Sgt. Rich Worrall as part of a mini course at the school.

Coffee Day in Washington County on March 16 raised a county high of 680.82 dollars through the effort of coffee drinkers and participating restaurants.
