Bogus Dentist May Offer Evidence Against Schmidt

New York Sept. Ernest Muret a bogus dentist and ally of Hans Schmidt the priest accused in the Anna Aumalier case indicated to District Attorney Whitman he could provide valuable evidence against Schmidt. He was in the hands of alienists again as investigators queried Schmidt’s early life college career and motives for entering the priesthood.

Train Holdup in Bibbville Suburb Leaves Trail of Chaos

Tuscaloosa Alabama September 27 deputy sheriffs from Birmingham Montgomery and armed farmers have ended the pursuit of three masked men who robbed the Alabama Great Southern passenger train near Bibbville siding. Five men were arrested at Eutaw all under twenty and five more were jailed in Tuscaloosa. Loot estimates range from 50000 to 190000 dollars with currency shipments from the east to New Orleans. Mail clerk Leander Poole gave a graphic account of the robbery noting heavy dynamite and close calls as shots straddled the mail car and the express safe.
