Albany reports Jacob Schiff testified that a 2500 check to William Sulzer on October 16 1912 was not a campaign contribution but for Sulzer to use as he saw fit Henry Morgenthau ambassador to Turkey said he did not intend to limit Sulzer when giving a 1000 check for his election Both witnesses described the funds as aiding Sulzer’s candidacy with prosecutors flagging the amounts as related to impeachment charges.

Huerta Considers International Commission on Foreign Claims

Secretary of State voids four petitions for fraud in Ohio referendum

Secretary of State Graves ruled that all four petitions filed by the Equity Association alleging voter referendums on the workmen's compensation laws are null and void due to fraud and corruption. He barred the petitions from ballots and indicated supplementary petitions cannot replace them. The decision affects 3849 petitions from 84 counties with 244 735 names, many alleged to be fraudulent.
