Explosion on Berkeley Ferry Kills and Injures Many

On the San Francisco ferry Berkeley the blast from a dynamite bomb killed the bomber and injured six others including Royal Samples who lost an arm and Sea Hoschnelder who lost both legs. Columbus Ohio January 14 John Mc Broom of Legea Ohio who aided by a shotgun prevented State Engineer Marker from brewing up a dam to the Heaking river powering McBroom's mill has apologized to state officials and said he would not press the charge of carrying dynamite under which Marker was arrested. No decision has been reached whether McBroom will be prosecuted for his denacing use of the gun.
