The YMCA drive reports 136 of 400 members secured after two days with Team No. 3 leading and still one day left. Capt. Edw. Fite credits friends for 330 to cover suppers. Rev. Frederick B. Ross urges greater effort as workers recount membership stories and pledge individual as well as group effort to reach the target.
Workers in the campaign for 400 new YMCA members adopted the plan in a verse laden effort. Last night reports showed 59 new members joining, bringing the two day total to 129 after 77 prior adopters, a promising start but not yet complete.
An old retailer advertises Rexall 93 Hair Tonic as a remedy for dandruff and baldness, claiming it destroys the germ, promotes scalp health, and may stimulate new hair growth. A two week revival at the First Baptist church ends tonight after a splendid run with strong attendance. Rev Brandt of Wilmington aided by Pastor Rev West led the series, with eighteen new members joining and more expected to enroll at the final service.
William Taylor, center for the YMCA basketball team, sustained a severe right wrist injury from a fall on the Armory floor Thursday night. Doctors say ligaments were torn and he will be laid up for a week or two, with prohibition from returning to play once healed. No successor yet named.

Grace church Epworth League saw a boost in membership as 22 young people joined during a Wednesday social. The event in the Sunday school room featured violin solos by James Kneisley contralto numbers by Daisy Cockerill readings by Riley and addresses by Rev. Ross and Mrs. Harry Rowe.
Chas. Nelson and George D. Craft have opened offices in the Dennis block over Ortman's store and now hold the agency for the Ohio National Life Insurance company.
The Brown farm sale near Yatesville drew an unusually large crowd and bid spiritedly. Receipts totaled $10,400 with the first team selling to Howard Hegler for $500 and six two year old geldings totaling $1,196. Average horse price was $179 and nearly all offerings sold well.
A bridge burned near South Charleston Thursday night delaying the D. T. & I. traffic for hours until repair by Friday morning. The eight o'clock train reached the city at 12.32 Friday morning causing disappointment to passengers bound for southern points.
The Lyceums of Columbus meet the local basketball team at the Y M C A Monday night. Both teams are evenly matched and a close game is predicted. The High school team travels to Hillsboro tonight to play Hillsboro High School.
On Thursday the House Judiciary committee voted to report out favorably the Torrens Land System bill. Introduced by Representative Reid of this city and drawn by Hon. Humphrey Jones, who brought the measure to the Constitutional convention. The simple land title registration under the Torrens System appeals to lawmakers and has backing from state realty boards.
Several Bainbridge women appeal to the Ross county Humane Officer for a thorough town renovation. They accuse townsfolk of flippant marriage vows and say respected citizens are disgusted. They request about six cases be investigated and offenders punished. an investigation is expected soon.
