In Cleveland Ohio on February 6 Miss Grace McQuaide aged 23 shot her sweetheart J G Adler 30 then killed herself. McQuaide died at a hospital today her last words were I am glad I did it I had nothing to live for Adler remains hospitalized but will live.
Frankfort Kentucky February 6 Several hundred convicts in the State prison may be released under a ruling today by the State Court of Appeals. The decision follows the case of John DeMoss who was sentenced to a minimum of two years from Newport. DeMoss served the minimum and sought parole but was refused. the court's opinion holds he is entitled to parole after serving the minimum.
Mexican multi millionaire Terrazas and his family, fleeing homeland upheaval, travel toward California to establish a fresh life on a ranch. Refugees seek stability and new beginnings, aiming to build livelihoods away from prior turmoil.
Alberto Terrazas of the vast Terrazas estate plans to live near Pasadena California after three years of upheaval roots his family’s immense wealth in Mexico. The fortune valued at thirty five to forty million dollars in American gold could be confiscated if peace does not return. Mrs. Susan Ross found guilty of second degree murder in the murder of her husband J Haywood Ross. She is sentenced to ten years in prison.
In New York City a large funeral for Sigmund Mogulesko attracted about 25 000 mourners from the Yiddish community. Led by the Hebrew Actors' Club the procession became unwieldy, requiring Police Reserves to maintain order. Mourners sang Mogulesko’s own popular Yiddish comic songs as per his wish.
Norman Stanley of Wheeling West Virginia faced arraignment in Cleveland police court for the murder of Robert F. Mercer of Pittsburgh. The prosecutor secured a continuance to February 9 after Stanley arrived last night from Wheeling.

Hartford, Feb 6. Winifred I. Nettleton aged 88, a wealthy retired manufacturer, married his secretary Mary Baldwin here last night. The couple left today for Florida to begin their honeymoon.
Winfred H. Nettleton of Bristow Conn. 68 and his secretary Mary Baldwin 68 married yesterday in an elopement. On arrival in New York today he confessed they fled after his wife’s niece allegedly opposed their marriage and joked they were like young lovers unaware of their minds.
