Art Dodge, once a fugitive from Iron River, has been arrested in this city for the 1911 murder of Mrs. Eva Spaulding near 17 Mile Post west of Washburn. He confessed to Deputy James Long in Mohall North Dakota and will be returned to Bayfield County jail.

State Engineer A R Hirst Division Engineer MacLean Assistant Sherlock and the Bayfield County Road and Bridge Committee and Highway Commissioner John Fri berg inspected Federal Project No 127 known as the new Route No 10. Ord and Company of Duluth holds the contract and work should finish early September with surfacing to begin then. The road will be grand but not open to travel before spring 1922, as the county crew plans to connect it with the present Route No 10 once the other road is open.
