The school, a free township district, had long received well below its entitled share, with total losses estimated around twenty thousand dollars over the years. The state attorney general limited retroactive aid to the last six years plus a 10 percent penalty for late reports. Going forward, the district will file timely reports and receive half of instructional costs as state aid. Other northern schools are expected to claim similar back aid.
