Auto crash at Raarup corner claims life of Ashland man
A Nash car driven by Jacobson overturned at the Raarup corner on the Washburn Bayfield road Sunday evening. And F Anderson of Ashland was instantly killed. Frank Gardner of Milwaukee was seriously injured and Octave Dumont Fred Fedegu and Ole Jacobson of Ashland were bruised. Eyewitnesses said speed and sand contributed to loss of control. The injured were taken to Ashland. Anderson’s funeral was held today.

Death of Nels Westerlund Sr. in Bayfield City
Nels Westerlund Sr. aged 89 and a 32 year resident of the city died after a two week illness. He was a shoemaker by trade born in Sunne Warmland Sweden on May 15 1882 and immigrated 32 years ago. He leaves two sons Ole and Nels and a daughter Mrs John Bergquist. Funeral Saturday at 1:30 pm from Ole Westerlund’s home and 2 pm at Mission Church with interment in the cemetery.
