Forest Fires Sparkant Rustics and Bridge Replacement
Fires worsen in woodlands near the Omaha Bayfield line. A bridge between here and Bayfield burned yesterday, halting trains until replacement. A New Cemetery South of the Old One
Civil Engineer D. F. Glover and the Town Board lay out five acres of new ground just south of the old cemetery. The site, purchased last year, will be prepared and cleared for use as a proper burial ground. The old miserable ground is to be abandoned and a new road through the tract is nearly finished.

Death of Ben Turner on an Omaha train
Ben Turner 57 died suddenly on an Omaha train Sunday afternoon while en route to Ashland for hospital care. He traveled with Dr. Coburn to Drummond for a fishing trip, fell ill, and died aboard the train. Remains were taken to Cumberland for burial. he is the father of Mrs. L. D. Goodenough and has a daughter in Ashland.

New stamp books arrived at the post office on Thursday and are available for purchase. They come in three types: twelve two cent stamps for twenty five cents, twenty four two cent stamps for forty nine cents, and forty eight stamps for ninety seven cents.
