Captain Owen O Wiard president of the World Association of Detectives with over 1800 arrests and convictions will give an illustrated lecture at the Opera House this Saturday night. The talk is free and a Sunday morning union meeting by churches will follow.
The Rust Owen Lumber Companys large Drummond general store, a major northern Wisconsin outlet, was completely destroyed by a Saturday fire. The lumber company offices were also ruined. Nearby stock such as blankets and quilts at Hansen's were mentioned.
A Polish youth, John Oberts, admitted breaking a store window while intoxicated. His father pledges to sue four saloon keepers for selling him liquor, arguing that a no license city depends on stopping sale to minors ahead of an election.
