The Kenfield Lamoreaux company tied up mills end six weeks of strikes in the milling industry. Undertaker Called to Grandview for Man’s Death Remains
Undertaker Amos M. Hansen was summoned to Grandview to prepare the body of Hans Peter Martinson after he was killed by a falling tree in the woods near Grandview. The body was kept at Grandview while relatives were sought. a registration card found on the deceased identified him as Class A Division 1 Order 1444 Series 486 Division 6 St. Louis Co registered at Hibbing Minnesota. Relatives have not yet been located.

L H Henderson of a bay shore cottage reports break in at his coop with about 40 thoroughbred chickens missing. He cites a neighbor Mr Bryan who saw two young men with sacks two weeks ago and suspects their intent. The horse and buggy were seen near the Lamoreaux cottage, and Henderson says he will take action against the parties.

Moonshine Arrest in Barron County Leads to Trial
Government prohibition agents arrested Jake Dibbell on illicit whiskey charges after a search of his residence yielded five quarts of moonshine and a found still at his homestead shack. Dibbell pled not guilty and was bound over to the U.S. Court with $500 bond. A second man involved pled guilty and posted $500. Rev Zaring of Chicago preached at the Methodist church, delivering two forceful sermons on religious topics.

Local Woman Killed as Car Turns Turtle in Ditch
The first serious automobile accident in the city left Mrs. John Kolberg dead within ten minutes after her car, driven by her husband, swerved to avoid another vehicle and plunged into an open ditch at Bayfield Street and Seventh Avenue. Edw J Mulrey of Ashland drove the other car. The Kolbergs resided here. Mrs Kolberg born in Norway in 1862. Funeral services were at the Norwegian Lutheran Church.
