Stump Puller Demonstration Impresses Bayfield Visiters
Joseph Feldmeier of Bayfield showcased his 60 horsepower stump pulling machine bought from Clyde Iron Works of Duluth. A Washburn party observed the device uproot stumps on Feldmeier’s 440 acre farm six miles northeast of Bayfield, reportedly clearing land at 5 to 20 dollars per acre with minimal labor.

McGovern Visits Milwaukee as Governor Candidate

Four year old dies of membranous croup in Bayfield
The four year old child of Mr and Mrs Jacob Johnson of West Bayfield Street died Sunday of membranous croup and was buried that evening. Grace two months old daughter of Duffy LaBell of Houghton died Monday. Remains were taken by Undertaker Hanson for burial at Catholic cemetery on Tuesday.
